Lukashenko’s Revenge? Neo-Nazi Agitator Arrested in Belarus, EU Governments Panic

Belarusian authorities intercepted May 23 Ryanair Flight 4978 from Greece to Lithuania. After the plane landed at Minsk airport, police arrested two of the passengers, fascist provocateur Roman Dmitriyevich Protasevich (Роман Дмитриевич Протасевич) and his Russian girlfriend Sophia Sapega (Софиа Сапегa). Protasevich faces multiple charges for his role in organizing the color revolution last year that left at least four people dead and thousands injured. His arrest has prompted the EU to punish Belarus; all EU airlines are banned from travel to or through Belarusian air space.

Note: later news reports suggest that the charges pertain more to Protasevich’s alleged involvement with the Ukrainian Neo-Nazi Azov Battalion. Please refer to the update here.

This might be the payback Belarusian President Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko (Александр Григорович Лукашенко) has been waiting for. If Protasevich gets a plea deal to testify against his foreign sponsors, it would be a public relations disaster for NATO and EU interests.

Про Сонечку, смотрю, мнения разделились. Ребят, всё просто. Есть ЗАКОН. Translation: About Sonyecha (Sophia), look, opinions are divided. Guys, everything is simple. It is the LAW. Early English reports failed to mention the Russian woman. This Tweet is how I initially learned about her. Some commentators hope that the Russian government will intervene on Sophia’s behalf and push for leniency. Source.

Protasevich is a former cameraman with the American-funded propaganda station Radio Free Europe and founder of the right-wing Telegram channel NEXTA. In the past, Protasevich served in the press corps for the Azov battalion, a Neo-Nazi terrorist organization in Ukraine. Deputy Head of the Belarusian KGB, Ivan Stanislawovich Tertel (Иван Станиславович Тертель) claims that Protasevich also took up arms in the fighting. Founder and first commander of the Azov battalion, Andriy Yevhenovych Biletsky (Андрей Евгеньевич Билецкий), denies this.

Globalist media outlets wasted no time inciting as much panic and outrage as they could. CNN published a gushing article praising Protasevich as a “fearless” journalist and advocate for peace. They stopped short of directly comparing him to Jesus Christ. A BBC article claimed that Protasevich’s colleagues are now “in fear of their lives.” Mind you this claim isn’t based on anything except that one of his friends said so. This is what passes for “journalism” these days.

This is hardly the first time a Neo-Nazi provocateur has gotten himself arrested in Eastern Europe. Why is this one so special? My guess is that Lukashenko took his shot, and got the right man. Only time will tell.
