Here’s a movie you haven’t seen, but should. The 1981 movie Lion of the Desert, about the freedom fighter Omar Mukhtar and his 20 year war and martyrdom against the Italian imperialists in Libya.

Almost five years ago I watched and reviewed Threads, a “pseudo-documentary” film about World War III starting in Iran. In hindsight, it’s amazingly close to how the Iran situation is actually unfolding, but the serious flaws I pointed out in 2021 still apply.

Pressure, the motion picture based on the 2015 play of the same name, is a “man versus nature” story about Eisenhower’s meteorology department in the final hours leading up to the D-Day invasion. But I have to ask, what is this movie for, and why do we need it now?

Fallout Season 2 is a $153 million mess that muddles through eight meandering episodes to the finish line, except there really isn’t a finish line, just a teaser for Season 3, and there’s really not a reason for the viewer to care about Season 3, or even remember what happened in this season.
