This Is Why I Think Trump Will NOT Win Tonight

I meant to finish this post a few days ago but was depressed so I didn’t. Anyway, American conservatives are brimming over with confidence and I cannot for the life of me figure out why. Yes, the betting odds are currently in Trump’s favor but since when were markets a good predictor of politics? If someone made the right bets before the start of World War I or the Sept. 11 attacks, but for the exact reason that markets are poor tool for predictions.

To be frank, rather than planning what to do when they win, Republicans should be planning what to do if they lose. Elon Musk said to vote as if your life depends on it, and for once I agree with him about something. I don’t think American conservatives understand how much trouble they’re in. Democrats are in the endgame of transforming the USA into a uni-party state. Their open borders migration scheme guarantees a permanent Democrat majority that will turn even red states like Texas blue. Furthermore, the Democrats are the Forever War party. They have firm control over the military, FBI and intelligence agencies… the so-called Deep State.

If Republicans don’t win today, they will never win again. Truly, I don’t understand how so many Republicans could be so oblivious to how they have lost control over almost every institution that matters. I don’t see how, after years of rooting out the so-called “white supremacy,” the military and law enforcement aren’t all firmly in the pocket of the Democratic party.

Speaking of the military, that is one of the greatest shifts in American culture over the past 20 years but has gotten virtually no discussion. Officially, just under two thirds of veterans support Trump. The problem with such statistics is that “veteran” can mean anything from a 22 year old kid who got out yesterday and a 100 year old Normandy paratrooper watching soap operas in the nursing home. “Veteran” is far too broad a group to really feel the pulse of how the military feels about contemporary American politics. But I think it can be said with a high degree of confidence that most or all senior military leaders are loyal to the Democratic Party. Not the American people, the Democratic Party. After many years of the DOD waging war against “white supremacy” in its ranks, if Kamala Harris orders the military to root out all enemies of the regime, who is going to say no?

I do notice media outlets like CNN hysterically amplifying the cries of “Russian interference” in the election. Some commentators are interpreting this as Democrats coping with an election loss. I disagree, this is a great narrative to play up if Democrats are planning to win, and destroy their enemies as “traitors” and “foreign agents” after the election.

The recent Trump campaign event in Arizona culminating with a Tucker Carlson interview was more like a circus than a serious campaign event. All entertainment with little in the way of substance. Tucker, Charlie Kirk, and Trump himself all promise a movement, rather than an isolated individual like last time, but offered little in the way of evidence that any of this is true. And if they are declared the losers tomorrow, then what does any of it matter?

Really, at this point, what is stopping the Democratic party from doing whatever they want?

I mentioned that this post was delayed for several days, and the reason why is because I have been deeply depressed. Everything going back as far as I can remember has been a farce. In the Bush years it was the Republicans who reigned triumphant, with King Bush II as the brave warrior in chief defending us from scheming jihadists and cowardly anti-war liberals trying to steal our freedumbs. Republicans had unfettered access to the levers of power for years and what did they do with it? Transform the USA into an authoritarian regime locked in a state of perpetual warfare.

Then came the hope and change candidate Barrack Obama. And what did he do? He did what Nixon did with China, make war an acceptable, actually appealing prospect for democrats, completely evaporating the anti-war left forever. As it turns out, there wasn’t such a thing as an anti-war left at all. The leftists of the Vietnam era were not protesting the war, they were protesting the prospect of being required to fight in said war. Nixon drastically scaled back the draft and the anti-war movement disappeared. The 21st Century anti-war left was even more despicable. They were never actually anti-war, they were just anti-Bush and that’s it. When Obama dropped good bombs on bad countries, war became good, even though they were literally the same wars that Bush was fighting.

Another bad precedent Obama started was the personality cult. Americans have long been too obsessed with the personality of our leaders. Even as far back as the Lincoln-Douglas debate, we’ve been too preoccupied with how candidates speak and present themselves, rather than how solid their platforms are. As news-entertainment media became more personal, Americans became even more preoccupied with our leaders. Is he a good athlete? Is he good looking? Does he speak well? Does he have any annoying tics or a weird laugh or stutter that’s annoying?

What made Obama a change is that he had a personality cult without the personality. There was nothing behind the facade, not even a man behind the curtain like in the Wizard of Oz. Just a cardboard cutout that the media and celebrities fawned over for no justifiable reason. Each personality cult after him became worse. Biden was clearly a mental vegetable even before he won the election. And as I’ve mentioned before, Biden got couped out of the presidency not because he was a vegetable, everyone knew that already, but because his backers preferred Kamala Harris for whatever reason or combination of reasons.

As for Kamala, where to even start? She’s a rambling idiot and one of the most ineffectual vice presidents in American history, but she’s celebrated like the second coming of Christ, the strength through joy candidate. Perhaps the most astonishing aspect of the Kamala personality cult was that it got immediately one-upped by the Tim Walz personality cult. The Democrats somehow found the one person in the USA who’s a bigger and more vapid idiot than Kamala. Tim is a fake and every single thing about him is fake. He’s a fake soldier, a fake leader, a fake person. Everything he does looks fake. As if he somehow doesn’t have any real interests, hobbies or personality traits. He just pretends to do things that his handlers said people like. Americans like war heroes, so he pretends to be a war hero (without the trouble of being in any wars, naturally). Americans like tough outdoorsmen, so he pretends to be an outdoorsman in one of the most pitiful propaganda videos in history.

Say what you will about Trump, but at the very least he just does what he likes. Trump enjoys golf. Even though golf is a snooty rich-people sport that most working class Americans find obnoxious and boring, he does really enjoy it. That make his golf vacations more relatable than Tim’s pretend-hunting trip, which he had quite obviously done only for the photo op. Trump really, really likes McDonald’s fast food. A lot of Americans like McDonald’s so that’s relatable. The best part is that Trump doesn’t need to pretend, he actually does like Big Macs and French fries.

As deeply unhappy as I am with American liberalism, I cannot forgive American conservatism and its proponents. I am not even asking for much. If American conservatives could show some inkling of self-awareness and reflection, I could understand their position. But they don’t. I don’t see even a hint of awareness of how much they contributed to the current disaster unfolding in the USA and around the world. And of course, American conservatism and morality are two parallel lines that never intersect. Conservatives don’t complain that the Democrat-led world order kills people. They’re upset that killing people costs money, and that’s the foundation of their complaint.

On top of that, I’m not sure there’s even a proper sense of self-preservation. Preferably, conservatives would argue “It is morally wrong to kill Russians, Syrians and Iranians.” But I would accept at the very least, “We shouldn’t hurt Russia, Iran and Syria because they could hurt us back.” Forget morality, we don’t even have basic common sense. It has been so long since anyone anywhere made a serious attempt to hurt us we’ve come to think it is impossible, and there is no limit to how much we can hurt other people before they hurt us back.

  1. I fear you may be right.
But would a Trump presidency be able to correct at least some of the many wrongs about the U.S.? I doubt it. The Deep State is for real and very, very powerful.
A Kamala presidency would be catastrophic. But isn’t that what America needs? The final fall? Social, economic, financial and military. Because that would wash away all the rot and maybe correct what I believe was the wrong out coming in the Civil War.
