The Tucker Carlson Interview with Putin

I think the Tucker Carlson interview with President Putin is a game changer. What Tucker Carlson has done is invite both Putin and Zelensky to give their perspectives about the ongoing conflict in Donbass, Novorossia, and Ukraine™.

On one hand this is just plain honest American-centric journalism. American voters can appraise both of these national leaders and decide which one is right. These will actually be three-sided shows: the president, Tucker, and the audience. The audience is the main character, and the president is there to convince the audience that he is right and his opponent is wrong. And the audience, importantly, isn’t all-American. No doubt the “garden of Europe” will try to censor the Putin interview, but their ability to do so is extremely limited, as the footage will be aired on X, Tucker’s website, and hundreds of other channels on every other major platform.

But on the other hand, this is a huge reversal of the established norms. Up until now, any American – or even western – journalist who interviewed Putin wasn’t an independent entity, he was a servant of the Democratic Party (yes even journalists from European vassal states are servants of the Democratic Party). It’s always a hostile interview. Conversely, an “interview” of Zelensky normally isn’t an interview at all, it’s a 30 minute commercial for Ukraine™ and why you should give them money, and if you don’t want to give them money, you hate Democracy™.

What Tucker is doing is offering the American people the chance to retake control of our own country. The Biden regime wants to give another $60 billion to Ukraine™ and would prefer this decision to go completely unchallenged.

Unsurprisingly, American Democrats are up in arms about Tucker Carlson’s interview with President Vladimir Putin. That’s just fascists being fascists. But what’s equally interesting is how the clown regimes of Europe are threatening to sanction him over it.

I doubt Carlson himself cares very much. The EU has very little to offer an American except the opportunity to be stabbed – I’m sorry, culturally enriched – by a refugee (Europeans love impoverished colonies so much they decided to become one).

But still, this should provoke Americans to rethink our relationship with the “garden of Europe.” Yes, I have quite a few readers from there on Quora and my blog, so I understand that not everyone in the EU is crazy, but a lot of them are. They’re annoying, whine whenever someone anywhere says something they don’t like, and for some reason have developed this habit of acting like they have a say in what Americans do or don’t do. They take it completely for granted that Americans will solve their border disputes – and throw a temper tantrum any time an American doubts this narrative.

Writers at Zero Hedge speculate that Carlson might be prosecuted under the espionage act. Maybe, but I don’t think it is likely.

The interview is scheduled to air on X (formerly Twitter) and Tucker Carlson’s website tonight at 6pm Eastern Standard Time.
