My long-time coming review of Jack Ryan on Amazon Prime. Tom Clancy’s fantasy books for conservative boomers have been reimagined as a fantasy for liberal millennials about bringing wokeness to the primitive savages in exotic locations like the Middle East, Latin America, and Russia.
I will be posting some articles and photos shortly, still playing around with my new YouTube channel (which is more fun than I expected). Also, it now has subtitles, which as far as I can tell, are adequate. So my non English-speaking readers can watch.
Also, I now have a Yandex Zen page, and plan to be writing some blurbs in Russian soon, for anyone who’s interested in checking it out.
Yesterday I went on a class field trip to the Cosmonautics museum, so expect some photos and a write-up from that soon!

I now have a new YouTube channel that I will use to upload videos from my travels around Russia. Expect new content there soon. Please give me a follow here.

Is what you should have said instead of deleting that juvenile comment. Anyway
Jack Ryan has always been that. A nerd saving the world, there is nothing ‘conservative’ about that.
Or are the books different than the movies? As much as it was worth watching, it never struck me as worth reading.
I enjoyed Tom Clancy’s books a lot as a teenager. Years later I discovered that the world view they showed was way too simplistic.
I read Clancy’s first two books in the 1990’s. I felt I could have done better.
