European Suicide, the Chinese Edition?

This month, God Emperor Biden has started turning the screws on China. And, as usual, the Eurobros are expected to fall on their swords to defeat the baddies.

First off, Biden is attempting to “decapitate” Chinese industry with a sanctions package against his own citizens:

The Biden administration unveiled a comprehensive strategy recently to move the U.S. forward and hold China back in the production of advanced semiconductors, virtually eliminating China’s semi industry overnight, escalating the high-tech battle with Beijing.

“Every American executive and engineer working in China’s semiconductor manufacturing industry resigned yesterday, paralyzing Chinese manufacturing overnight,” wrote Twitter user @lidangzzz, translated by Rhodium Group analyst Jordan Schneider.

Why Did American Execs Resign? One of the provisions of President Joe Biden’s executive order is that any U.S. citizen or green card holder working in China cannot work in the Chinese semiconductor industry or risk of losing American citizenship.

I don’t actually see how it is legal for the God Emperor to threaten the citizenship of Americans for accepting jobs in a country that we are not at war with, and is actually our largest trading partner. But anyway. There is also a wave of federal prosecutions against Chinese Americans, which has some journalists claiming that the FBI simply compiled a list of every tech startup founded by someone with a Chinese last name and opened an investigation on him. That’s progressive woke democratic America for you. Every person of Chinese descent is a yellow menace unless proven otherwise.

But that’s not enough. The Euros have to commit ritual suicide in the name of American political goals:

The United States reportedly is calling on the European Union to impose a semiconductor export ban on China – but Chinese officials and media doubt the Americans, simply by asking, can persuade the Europeans to give up a highly lucrative export market.

Bloomberg reports that the Biden administration is urging the EU to share information and coordinate enforcement to reinforce the United States’s bilateral restrictions on exports to China, similar to what the US and EU did to Moscow earlier this year.

That report comes after Alan Estevez, US Commerce Department undersecretary for industry and security, said on Thursday that the US would soon sign an agreement with its allies to bring them on board with new rules curbing China’s access to sophisticated chipmaking tools.

I have to say that I’m not surprised by all this, and I hope the Chinese aren’t surprised either. They can crow about peace and play neutral as much as they like but it won’t save them. China should be very grateful that Russia hasn’t collapsed, despite the best efforts of the Third Reich democratic free world.

  1. a lot of what the EU/UK/west in general is doing amounts to a child saying “i’ll hold my breath until you _____”. they can’t hold their breath forever. i could also mention a certain scene from “blazing saddles” but it’s best i didn’t probably. it’s not like european “governments” can help build a chip industry or find new oil sources overnight. probably not even in the short time frame they have left until it’s riot o’clock in every major city.

  2. Oh Ian, what a great post and I really love your ending. Ever since you began writing about it I’ve been parroting how our government has been taken over by Nazis.

The Pair’s comment is excellent too.

    • Ah if only that was sufficient. Had drinks with an old friend last week and since I have to be ‘that guy’ I of course brought up these Azovite scum. All the Wolfsangel pictures in the world would not sway him. As all shitlibs do he eventually recited the ‘How do you know it’s real? Those Russians are masters of deception’ line.

Me: ‘You know you’re basically quoting Mein Kampf right?’

His response? ‘Just because Hitler said it doesn’t mean it’s wrong!’ Facepalm.

There was but one reply: ‘GULAG.’

  4. The Germans have got to come to their senses or are our glorious leaders simply going to march us over a cliff. The really sad thing is the largest part of Europeans seem eager to get it started.

    • Too late.

Berlin now has no other hope than Warsaw’s marcy, and to gain one they must behvae and then behave and then behave again.

    • Europe is in one of those situations that is at least theoretically reversible, IF such actions happened immediately. But that’s not happening, and everyone is taking the lemming route instead.
