Yesterday I watched Billy Bob’s live with Dust James, Leo Zhao, Ian Kummer and Billy Bob himself. It was literally supposed to be an “Analysis of the Carlson-Huckabee Interview“, but not a single word seems to have been uttered about the said interview.
The whole 108-minute show was dedicated to finding the proofs of fascism in Tucker Carlson sort of like Thomas Aquinas was looking for the proofs of existence of God in the Universe. And although all speakers could get the floor, in the hindsight it seems to have been a soliloquy delivered by Dust. Not as dramatic or deep as “to be or not to be”, yet, quite emotional.
Arguing that popular issues like migration, transgender rights, gay rights, etc. are more important than an ongoing genocide of kids in Palestine or the war in Ukraine, Dust totally diverted the conversation from the planned topic.
Dust’s focus on particularities is at best maximalist and naive and at the worst extermist. Anyway, it is immature. I have a mental image of German communists reasoning this way in their gay bars right before the Third Reich was founded. They probably wanted gay rights uber alles, but got something different. OK, I have no idea what German communists thought, but if Dust had been one of them, the result of their activities wouldn’t have changed.
Dust likes the word “fascism” a bit too much and hates white people for some reason. But isn’t hating white people fascist? He is so eager to blame everything on white people that it becomes scary. Anyway, the definition of fascism exists and extreme(!) nationalism is only one trait of it. Tucker is probably a nationalist, but hardly an extreme one. I’ve never heard him calling for ethnic purges, segregation or slavery. Preferring your own kind isn’t a crime. Yet. I think that forcing globohomo on everyone is more fascist than moderate nationalism because it violates the peoples’ right to live the life they built in their homeland. Imposing unlimited immigration on any modern nation is not better than what happened to America when colonialists came there. Maybe even worse. We aren’t allowed to say “no”, because we are white and bad. Really? By the way, try emigrating to Israel, UAE or Japan. You will be surprised.
Dust likes to cite the class struggle as the common denominator uniting people. Yet, the history of the XX century has proven that there is no such thing as the global working class. A worker from Niger differs a lot from a worker from the USA. A worker from Uzbekistan is very different from the worker from Russia, moreover, the latter feels competition from the former who comes offering lower qualification, yet a cheaper labor cost. The job of the US/Russian/whatever government is to think about the domestic workforce first, not of some undocumented migrants. By the way, I really fail to understand that love for undocumented migrants. Being documented is not a big deal if you are a) not a criminal b) wanted at the local job market. Otherwise, stay home.
I’m pretty certain that one of the ways to take care of domestic workforce is to stop genocidal imperialist wars abroad. Fewer wars > more stable economies > less migration > more domestic stability. On the other hand, with more wars and more migration the imperialist elite kills two birds with one stone: they loot resources abroad and keep the boot on the neck of the domestic workforce. There is always a line of miserable Latinx outside to take your job for half the wage. Does Dust get it? I guess, no.
As for the gender, I think it’s a totally artificial notion shoehorned between the body and the personality. The body has sex, the personality has mind and heart, those two are sexless. That’s it. The body dictates some options and limitations, the personality dictates choices. That’s it. The rest is either a rare condition (those do exist, need be treated with care and without stigmatization), or weaponized bs.
Anyway, can we discuss the interview someday?

This is far more revolutionary than any of Dusty’s opinions on the number of genders there are
