Are there reptilians among us?
Former Marine Kyle Odom became obsessed with the idea that reptilians from another planet are trying to enslave the human race. Eventually, he couldn’t take it anymore. So Odom wrote a manifesto and set off to the church of Pastor Tim Remington in Idaho, where he was leading a prayer for Ted Cruz’s 2016 presidential campaign.
On Sunday March 6, 2016, Odom approached Remington while giving a sermon, shot him twelve times with a .45 pistol in the head and back at point blank range, and fled the scene, believing his target to be dead.
But he was not dead. Remington made a full recovery, and the story was dropped from the media so fast barely anyone was aware it even happened (myself included).
While Odom was in prison, Remington went on to be elected to the Idaho house of representatives in 2020, and… held Charlie Kirk’s memorial service. No, I’m not kidding.
I have so many questions.
Why didn’t this story have a bigger splash at the time? Even when a high profile shooter is released from prison there’s typically a media splash too, but not this time. I was only able to find articles in the local news (this link is to yahoo, but the byline is from a local outlet). Why would the media not leap on such a great “look at these crazy right-wing gun nuts” story? Hell why did Remington not even reconsider his political stances after taking more blood squibs than the North Vietnamese Army in a Rambo movie?
I don’t personally subscribe to the idea that the US is ruled by reptilians. But if it was, I don’t think they would do anything different than what’s actually happening. It is a system that reflexively gaslights us with absurdities, even when there’s not a plausible motive except for its own sake.
Anyway, here are some memes for your enjoyment:

I don't know what Kyle Odom shot but it is completely impossible for a human to be shot in the head and multiple times in the back with a .45 and not be dead. Kyle's idea that he's a reptilian is as good as any.
