Is China Our Last Hope Against Empire?

Today’s show of Blowback: Exposing Imperial Decline will be discussing a recent video by journalist Richard Medhurst alleging that the US has become a pirate state reshaping the world to box in China and secure its continued hegemony. But is his allegation correct? Tell us in the comments who in the panel you agree with!

Here’s a take from Billy Bob:

A couple points to keep in mind in light of current events. I’m convinced that there is a grand strategy at play designed to defeat the sovereign nations of Iran, Russia, and China but the hope has always been to do so in the easiest and most cost effective way. I think the dismantling of the Soviet Union is a good example that the West hopes they can replicate against the sovereign nations identified above.

So win through diplomacy, try to trick your adversary into misconstruing reality and get them to make a fatal error which you can exploit to maximum effect.

But, if such tactics do not work, if your adversary is too smart or too strong to fall for your tricks, be prepared to do things the hard way.

When we apply this approach to Iran, we can predict the basic trajectory of events. Since Iran is neither weak nor stupid, the inevitable conclusion is that the West’s efforts to do things the easy way will fail and the West will inevitably recognize that they must do things the hard way.

As I have stated repeatedly for years, the West is motivated by their fear of China, to trash their rules based order and plunge the world into a far more regressive system where the US deliberately manufactures a global scarcity of energy in order to control what’s left and to weaponize that control against their rivals (and the global working class in general).

The last time Trump threatened to end Iran as a civilization, I believed him. I thought he had made the decision to cross the Rubicon. I think the reason he TACO’d though was because he wanted to have more military assets in place, so he bought himself a few weeks to rearm and reload.

It’s possible that Trump will chicken out again, despite the most recent bluster quoted below. Maybe he will continue to pump and dump the stock market and manipulate everyone with his claims of “succesful diplomacy”, a “deal”, or “Iran has submitted”.

It seems though like this theater has run its course and we will, very soon, return to a devastating bombing campaign designed to ensure that Iran will not be able to export their oil for years to come. Iran will of course retaliate and the Gulf Monarchies will also no longer be able to produce or export energy for years to come.

This event will be the most decisive event of the century so far. This event will mark the irrevocable breaking point with the rules based order, plunging humanity into a brand new paradigm that the transnational oligarchy hopes will benefit their share of global power relative to their rivals. In other words, it will be a disaster for all involved but they hope that it will be a much bigger disaster for everyone else, than it is for themselves and their oligarchic *class* interests.

So here is Trump once again threatening to “Cry havoc! And let slip the dogs of war”. This is his Rubicon moment that can not be undone. The West has been preparing for this day for decades. This is a deliberate and purposeful strategy. It will inevitably happen, probably sooner rather than later. This will be the most destructive and regressive act, facilitated by Liberal ideology, since WWII.

While the assertion that the USA is gunning for China might be correct, at this point I have a hard time caring. While Medhurst probably has good intentions, I find it particularly hypocritical to fuss about China having to pay high spot prices for US energy after spending years gorging themselves on Russian oil and gas at such a low price it was practically being given away at-cost.

Then there is the war against Iran, in which China pressured them into a premature ceasefire that everyone, even the sinophiles, seems to agree will probably not benefit Iran. A commenter on my Quora page summed up the issue perfectly:

Oil and LNG make up a minority of China’s energy requirements, which they’ve already been stockpiling for years anyways. The oil argument is a nonsensical one, especially when they can bypass the gulf states and get Iranian oil while the rest of the world besides Russia suffers from an oil crisis.

Chinese energy capacity 2025

And let’s be real, you don’t sell equipment to Iran, form al alternative finance system and engage in joint exercises only to turn around and say “ackshually we’re not allies.” They are in the geopolitical sense.

If anything, the US has it worse considering gas is the leading source of American electricity production. at 37% in 2025.

Fact of the matter is, Beijing is lead by cucks. There’s absolutely zero downside to the Iran war that China has that it can’t bypass or the US has worse…

It gets worse the more you think about it.

China could have:

  1. Destroyed the Petrodollar by aiding Iran financially and moving to secure some kind of oil deal. SOMETHING to take advantage of the fact Iran was the only one who could sell their oil through Hormuz while everyone else was oil starved (bonus: it boosts Russia, which China NEEDS if it wants to beat the western sphere)
  2. Strengthen coordination with Russia and Iran (military intel, coordinated strategy, etc)
  3. Embargo America, or establish some kind of economic retaliation (more rare earth minerals restrictions, sanctions (they are competing for the superpower spot)
  4. Invade Taiwan. Or at least pressure American bases and allies to stretch Pacific command thin
  5. Established itself as a viable alternative to the Epstein world order

It did NONE of this, stuff that would be a no-brainer for anyone else. China is essentially a NTR protagonist at this point given how thoroughly they want to sit in the cuck chair.

  1. I'm probably now over an hour into your podcast, and probably won't have time for the Medhurst one.Guys, before you do another one of these, re-read this:https://matiane.wordpress.com/2021/01/12/emmanuel-goldstein-theory-and-practice-of-oligarchical-collectivism-by-george-orwell/Specifically, Chapter 3 "War is Peace". I can't really summarize it better than Orwell put it, but its not a long chapter and describes current geopolitics perfectly. No, Eastasia is not about to defeat Oceania, or vice versa.Billy Bob is correct that every "national" government and party in Oceania ultimately is controlled by the Inner Party, but not correct in that there is some sort of meaningful difference between the Oceania and Eastasia regimes. I agree that Euraasia now looks the best of the three, but I think that is because they are currently the weakest and that limits how much they can stamp on their people.
