Charlie Kirk was not my favorite person, but bottom line he was a “Debate me, bro” and now he’s been shot dead. The lesson here is that one side fights with words and the other fights with bullets. The American left-wing faction has decided they can just murder people who disagree with them. But the left is not in power and all they’re accomplishing is provoking the people who ARE in power.
The irony here is that Trumpists are the moderates on the Right. Kirk was a very typical center-right pundit who checks all the usual boxes of a liberal conservative for the past 50 years, like loving Israel. When you get in the habit of gunning down moderates eventually the radicals will take over, and unlike the moderates, they ARE willing to use violence.
And I’m sorry to ruin your delusions, but the Department of WAR will follow orders. If the president ordered the arrest of liberal federal judges and the establishment of military tribunals to liquidate all enemies of the people, I think that would happen, and it wouldn’t even be an unpopular thing to do.
Closer to home, I hate when idiots rock the boat like this because a largescale crackdown on dissent will almost certainly domino effect to a crackdown on me. Obviously I can’t be physically arrested, but it is possible, very easy actually, to screw me financially.

Depends on what you mean by the left. Are the ShoeOnHead / Jimmy Dore / Jackson Hinkle / overthrow capital types on the ‘radical left?’ Yes. Are we cheering this murder on? No. On the contrary we are roundly condemning it because we know it will lead to more emergency powers for the State.
If OTOH by the ‘left’ you mean pro establishment types – the enemy of the first group – like Keith Olbermann, redditors, or bluesky users then yes it is more likely to be them

From what’s being gathered so far about the shooter (apart from the usual sewer of antisemitic conspiracy theories on X), it’s looking more like “unintelligible nutjob” is in the lead and that the guy is a “terminally online” brain-rotted zoomer.
Of course, now the libs have jumped to the opposite conclusion and decided he must be a far-right Nick Fuentes groyper, but as of the time of this post, I haven’t seen any conclusive evidence.
It looks like lib-left accounts are trying to push that lie often enough that some people believe it.

This is silly. Terrorist acts and political assassinations that can be labelled “right wing motivated” outnumber “left wing motivated” acts 15 to 1 in the US in the past few years. The right wing uses an incredibly violent and threatening rhetoric and they are very often parading with actual weapons in (counter) demonstrations, something that is unimaginable in Europe and would be regarded as open violence. Besides this a lot of violence is just people going crazy, just as Bob pointed out.
In this specific case the perpetrator is clearly not an antifa guy or whatever they hallucinated before, and the right was caught off guard by the fact that with the exception of the last few months the guy looked like THE prototypical right winger of the gun nut variant. The change in their rhetoric is observable.
Ultimately the ideology of the patsy is irrelevant. Remember Oswald? What we should ask ourselves is who benefits from turning Kirk into a martyr
