A lot’s happened. Here’s what’s new.
I’m now officially retired from the Army. That means I can spend more time blogging. Yay. I also previously had a marketing/seo firm IMK Publishing. I’ve dissolved it. Any references here to that, as well as Gunslinger USA and any other related entity, are now obsolete. I’m deleting all of those references as I find them.
For the site itself, I’m experiencing various technical problems, most of which are self-inflicted. I want blog posts here to be easy to read and load fast. I’ve accidentally blown up the site about a thousand times and am still finding bugs to iron out. If you encounter any technical issue, I would appreciate you letting me know in the form here, or on the sidebar.
Reading Junkie does list some books that I and other contributors like or have written. However, these pages link to external stores (usually Amazon). I’ve deleted the shopping cart from the top menu because it’s unnecessary, but mostly because it looked stupid.
I’ve deleted the comments system. You can still leave feedback on the site’s native commenting form, it’s just not fancy. I plan to rework it in the near future and make it possible to use social media logins.
The email newsletter is gone. It was interesting, but it was too demanding on bandwidth. Sorry. However, I would love interaction and commentary from readers on social media. I currently have a Reading Junkie group page on Facebook and VK. I will also be back on Twitter when I get around to it. The links to all of these pages can be found on the site’s sidebar.
All imagery I use on this site either belongs to me or is public domain. That said, I’ve been sloppy about crediting sources, so I’m doing that moving forward.
I’ll keep everyone posted about significant changes as they come.
