Sea Breeze 2021: A Game of Russian Roulette?

Sea Breeze 21 is an ongoing exercise in saber-rattling in the Black Sea. The naval drill’s alleged purpose is to strengthen “maritime security and peace in the region.” In reality, it’s an exercise in repeatedly antagonizing Russia, a game that comes with extreme risk and no plausible benefit.

There was already trouble brewing in the area, and it long predates Sea Breeze 2021’s official start on June 28. Last week, a British destroyer H.M.S. Defender pulled a publicity stunt that made headlines worldwide. With media cameras rolling, the ship’s captain called the crew to battle stations and headed into Russian waters. Russian ships and at least twenty aircraft buzzed the Defender, giving multiple warnings to turn back, firing warning shots, and allegedly also dropping a bomb in its path. Margarita Simonyan, the editor-in-chief of the Russia Today, praised the Russian border guards’ politeness.

One interesting detail of the Defender debacle is Brits’ insistence that no warning shots were fired, until of course video footage emerged and a BBC journalist on the Defender itself admitted that there were warning shots.

Just a day later, the Dutch warship HNLMS Evertsen ran afoul of Russian jets, and even more alarming results. Royal Netherlands Navy claimed that Russian SU-30SM fighters used an electronic warfare methods to cripple the Evertsen’s onboard sensors. I have not been able to properly verify that claim, though needless to say, the Russian media wasted no time gloating about this display of military superiority because of course they would.

I have to wonder why our friends in the Netherlands would admit that Russian EW measures work so well against them. I’m a layman not qualified to make a claim in this matter, but this story matches up with previous incidents in Syria when Russian fighters successfully crippled the F-22 and F-35’s sensitive electronics in Syria.

Unsurprisingly, diplomacy didn’t improve when Sea Breeze 21 itself kicked off on June 28. So far, there have been at least one more noteworthy incident following the confrontational tone set by the Defender and Evertsen, this time by the American destroyer USS Ross. However, the Ross incursion was far less brazen than its British predecessor.

Spokeswoman for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova accused the USA of being involved in the Defender incident, and it is hard to imagine that she’s wrong. Vladimir Putin warned that a repeat of the Defender incident would be a red line crossed and the offending ship would be attacked. He even went so far as to say that if the Defender had in fact been sunk, there would not be a world war. In other words, NATO is a paper tiger.

So why use a British warship instead of an American one? For this part of the analysis I will invoke a famous military maneuver from South Park. Operation Human Shield.

Then there’s… oh no, X-Men 3. I never thought that 2006 cinematic disaster would be useful for something but here it is.

American voters perceived the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in 2001 as a new Pearl Harbor and, at the time at least, believed the corporate media’s spin of a Jihadist threat and the need to put it down. That story was sufficient to garner public support for invading Afghanistan and even Iraq, but enthusiasm has cooled since then, to put it mildly.

If an American ship was sunk while trespassing in Russian waters, Americans would be incensed, but not at the Russians. Biden voters have proudly buried their heads in the sand; many even declaring after the 2020 election that they were going to brunch and ignoring all foreign policy news. I’m still amazed by that attitude nine months later. However, no amount of media spin could ever cover up let alone justify dozens of dead and wounded sailors in a stupid and unprovoked naval incursion. Biden would be finished. Also let’s remember that Biden is on weak legs to begin with. He’s so deeply unpopular, Putin, of all people, has a higher approval rating amongst American Republican voters.

Take note that Biden’s bombings in Syria, though unconstitutional and without congressional approval, are no less egregious than routine military adventurism carried out by both Donald Trump and Barrack Obama. Yet his actions have provoked bipartisan outcry, and rightly so. As far as I can tell, it’s all theater and he won’t suffer politically for it. That said, it’s a pipe dream to expect Americans to support open warfare against another “near-peer opponent” (the American Defense Department is incapable of acknowledging anyone else as our military equals).

Why would the United Kingdom so recklessly volunteer to be human shields for the USA? I’m not qualified to say, but there has been a huge amount of British media hype about the Russian menace. Maybe this was a win-win situation. Joe Biden stayed far away from a political black eye and Boris Johnson got to Live Action Roleplay (LARP) as a serious world leader.

Now how about Sea Breeze 2021? As I said already, it’s a farcical photo op. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky can pretend he’s in NATO for a few minutes before going home to abide by the Minsk Agreement like Joe Biden told him to.

Ukrainian flag-themed paradrop, helicopters and ships, and the obligatory shots of various NATO officers mugging for the camera. Putin is finished!

It’s all theater, but even theater has consequences. Biden’s regime is repeatedly putting American troops in the position of being forced to antagonize their Russian counterparts and then back down. Every time. Why? Previously, I stated my belief that Biden is destroying our military because he, or at least his handlers, no longer see a need for it. But endlessly poking the bear and revealing our own forces as a paper tiger with no teeth is foolish. I almost wish I could say there is some brilliant globalist master plan behind all this recklessness, but there simply isn’t.

  1. Here’s something I think you need to consider. Who really runs the US?
I think the Conservative Treehouse has the score:

He’s laying out how this got set up and etc.
Lots of the “Resistance” was located in the two agencies of FBI and CIA, at all levels including the top.

Maybe you can figure out what the IC’s preferred foreign policy is.
I’m sure there is a link, between them, the DOD, and there is a known link with the Tech Giants.
I’m sure it’s somehow related to mutual profit and probably mutual blackmail with the IC holding MOST (but not all) of the blackmail material.
I value your thoughts on t his.
