US Foreign Policy Explained: The Gun is Good, the Penis is Evil

The wild 1974 John Boorman movie Zardoz provides some useful insights into American foreign policy (it’s crazier than you think).

Set in a post-apocalyptic future, humanity is divided into two classes, the ignorant “brutals” who till the soil, and the “eternals,” a society of immortal people living on a lush country estate protected by impenetrable force fields. The eternals employ “exterminators,” a death cult who terrorize all the other brutals and collect food as a sacrifice to their “god” Zardoz, a giant floating head that gives baffling sermons and showers the exterminators with guns.

Behold, Zardoz:

The penis is evil because it spreads life that pollutes the world, the gun is good because it spreads death.

As it turns out, a renegade eternal has been secretly conducting a program of artificial selection on the brutals, gradually turning them into a race of super humans. Eventually, he succeeds in creating the perfect man. And so it came to be that Sean Connery hit the silver screen in a tight red underwear with matching bandeliers and a mustache that wouldn’t be out of place in a 1970s porno. And Zardoz does come close to pornography at a few points so it all works.

Sean Connery took the role because at this point in his career, he had been unfortunately typecast as the iconic James Bond and movie producers were hesitant to believe he would ever be suitable for any other role. If nothing else, Zardoz proved he could in fact do something completely different.

“Zardoz” nurtures and educates Sean Connery throughout his life until, finally, dropping the ultimate truth bomb on him. He reveals a copy of The Wizard of OZ (zard + Oz = Zardoz), proving that the whole religion is a hoax based on a silly children’s book, driving Sean Connery into a homicidal rage. He sneaks aboard the head and kills its pilot as he flies back home, and is promptly captured.

Inside their utopia, Sean Connery learns about the eternals. Thanks to technology, they are immortal. Every time an eternal is killed (like Sean Connery had just done to that one guy) he is immediately resurrected in a new body. But living as an eternal apparently isn’t as nice as it might appear on the surface. Their entire existence is pointless and banal, and their society is a dictatorship. Even minor infractions are punished by being permanently aged. Too many infractions can result in an eternal becoming very old, and stuck that way forever. Many eternals completely lose their minds and lapse into a vegetative state.

Eventually, Sean Connery learns why he was manipulated into coming here. It turns out the pilot of the Zardoz god head isn’t working alone, there’s a whole conspiracy movement of eternals who are exhausted by the centuries of pointless and stagnant existence in their utopia and want to die. They hope that the super human exterminators will eventually become strong enough to break through the barrier and bring the eternals what they desperately desire – death. And eventually, of course, this plan succeeds. Sean Connery destroys the outer defenses, allowing other exterminators to attack and wipe out the eternals. However, since he knows the truth, Sean Connery isn’t interested in rejoining them. Instead he runs away with an eternal girlfriend he met and they start a raise a son, and age and die normally.

The ending of Zardoz:

Back to the real world. Consider this gushing Time piece declaring Iranian women the heroes of 2022:

These younger women are now in the streets. The movement they’re leading is educated, liberal, secular, raised on higher expectations, and desperate for normality: college and foreign travel, decent jobs, rule of law, access to the Apple Store, a meaningful role in politics, the freedom to say and wear whatever. They are quite unlike those who came before them; sometimes they feel more like transnational Gen Z than Iranians: they are vegans, they de-Islamicize their names, they don’t want children [emphasis mine]. I’ve often wondered what has made them so rebellious, because their ferocious character was evident well before 22-year-old Mahsa (Jina) Amini, arrested at a metro station by the morality police who enforce the dress code, died after being held in their custody on Sept. 16, setting off the most sustained uprising in the 43-year history of the Islamic Republic. The average age of arrested protesters is notably low—Iranian officials estimate as young as 15. I can only conclude that when a generation’s aspirations for freedom appear tantalizingly within reach, the more humiliating the remaining restrictions seem, and the less daunting the final stretch of resistance feels.

Iran is evil, the culture is evil, procreation itself is evil. The penis is evil, the gun is good. And so, America supports violent Kurdish separatism in Iran, Syria, and Turkey. Consider how our colonial vassals in Europe, South Korea, and Japan are all suffering disastrous population decline (see my earlier post here). Consider the disastrous death cult that has taken over Ukraine, and is leading their entire nation into guaranteed demographic and cultural suicide.

Consider what Chuck Schumer said last month about immigration:

Speaking to the press outside the U.S. Capitol grounds, Schumer declared, “Now more than ever, we’re short of workers, we have a population that is not reproducing on its own with the same level that it used to.”

He added, “The only way we’re going to have a great future in America is if we welcome and embrace immigrants, the DREAMers and – all of them. Cause our ultimate goal is to help the DREAMers but get a path to citizenship for all 11 million, or however many undocumented immigrants.”

Imagine if a right-wing politician said immigrants are meant to replace us. He would be condemned as a nazi and a conspiracy theorist. And yet here is Mr. Schumer openly saying it.

This isn’t the first time I’ve noticed this pattern of liberals treating immigration as a weapon. A year ago I wrote a movie review of The Girl With All the Gifts:

The Girl With All the Gifts literally compares black people to flesh-eating zombies who destroy Western civilization, and praises this as a good thing. It might be the most mind-bogglingly evil and racist movie ever made. Triumph of the Will and Birth of a Nation look tame in comparison. But that’s not the most horrifying aspect of the story. Thousands, maybe even millions, of white liberal elites in Europe and the USA actually believe this and have the political power to make it happen.

Based on the book by the same name, The Girl With All the Gifts is about a little black girl who’s a zombie. That in of itself is significant. She could have been a little white girl. But no, she’s a black girl and that was a deliberate casting decision (apparently, in the book the girl is white). She was born this way, and her animalistic hunger for flesh makes it impossible for her to coexist with white people non-infected humans. A white lady scientist tries to develop a cure, but she fails. The last surviving human beings die and black people zombies rule the earth.

As I write this, I’m reminded of a movie made in 1974, Zardoz, starring Sean Connery. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, a commune of immortal elites live in a bubble and use their advanced technology to manipulate the rest of the human race. At first glance, the bubble is a perfect utopia, but it’s actually a rotten farce. Everybody is tired of living and wants to die. In the end, they get their wish. A barbarian death cult breaks into the bubble and kills everyone.

So here’s my theory. Death cults like the exterminators in Zardoz are a tool by the liberal world order to crush and balkanize all competing states. But, there is a subculture of jaded liberals who desperately want to die, and hope that, maybe, they finally can die at the hands of their own exterminators. Or maybe deliberately trigger a nuclear war.

Maybe I’m crazy, but why is the New York Times writing gushing essays about Les Knight the activist who advocates for the “voluntary extinction of the human race”?

  1. The number of non-whites the U.S. and Europe has let in is already too high, it’ll get worst.
The future will be violent. If we don’t clean the house (sounds racist?) we’ll perish as a civilization.

  2. Ufckign ehll, For a film that had so much talent it was less than expected. Two outstanding actors + a top notch Director = not much. Still all concerned have provided the world with a wealth of talent, I’m just surprised a young one like yourself knows the movie ; ).
