Today I decided to consult our machine overlords on an important topic: can our media be trusted? Or more specifically, I asked Mr. AI to grade as a simple percentage a selection of CNN articles about elections in various countries.
The reason I decided to write this post is because today I saw a particularly absurd CNN article about the “elections” in the Jihadist-ruled territory of what used to be Syria.
My selection of CNN articles was Syria 2021 (Assad), Syria 2025 (HTS), Russia 2021, France 2022, USA 2024, and USA 2020. Here’s what DeepSeek had to say.

With this raw information aggregated by Terminator, I mean the AI, the human mind can make some obvious conclusions. Regimes in the NATO core countries can expect at the very least politely worded, neutral articles that don’t question their electoral legitimacy or rule of law. Even when an internal enemy, like Donald Trump, wins an election, CNN’s hatred for him does not overrule the urgency of presenting western democracy as infallible. Though the US presidency in particular is so critically important, basically the emperor of Rome in modern times, CNN cannot help but express euphoria when the “correct” candidate wins.
Adversarial countries of course are firmly condemned in the most hysterical terms possible, and the results of any elections there are automatically illegitimate. Really, consider the absurdity of these examples. The elections of the Islamist regime of Syria, which is currently busying themselves exterminating the Christian and “heretical” Muslim populations, is portrayed as more legitimate and far more positively than the elections of Russia, a developed country. Really?
But the brainwashed mind sees such absurdities and cannot understand the absurdity or contradictions.

Several of these answers were too long to capture in one screenshot so I colleaged them together.
