Hey everyone, I’m back. As of today, I just finished transferring the website to a Russian server. I did this for several reasons, but mainly because I was forced to. The US-based service I have used for the last six years had just declined in quality so severely, while at the same time getting more expensive, I was finely fed up enough to go through the aggravation of switching elsewhere. Having a server in the same country as me will make accessibility better for my Russian audience (who often had to use VPN to even read it), and easier for me, but if other readers run into issues, please let me know here in the comments.
On an unrelated note, as of yesterday, I was banned from Amazon for, per their email, living in “a region with whom we cannot currently do business.” So much for thinking that American citizenship had any point or benefit whatsoever. America might be the first nation in history that offers no birthright. Americans are just peasants born into an economic zone where we have to compete with the entire world for a fast food job or an apartment. There is apparently no intrinsic benefit to being born there except some extra protection from being deported.
Now that the server aggravation is taken care of, I’ll go back to posting more regularly. I will also share some Crimea-specific updates.
