      Jack Ryan has always been that. A nerd saving the world, there is nothing ‘conservative’ about that.

      Or are the books different than the movies? As much as it was worth watching, it never struck me as worth reading.

  4. I enjoyed Tom Clancy’s books a lot as a teenager. Years later I discovered that the world view they showed was way too simplistic.
